Johnstown Film & Wine Festival 2008 : Speakeasy

The Johnstown Film & Wine Festival is a project of the Greater Johnstown Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class of 2006, in cooperation with the Johnstown Area Heritage Association. The 2008 festival will be held July 9-12 at the Heritage Discovery Center in Johnstown. Watch this site for updates!

Set in the 1920s and tells the story of an average janitor, George, whose life has just been changed. He wrote a new jingle for the department store he works for. To celebrate, his boss invites him to his favorite bar. This janitor turned advertisement executive is mistaken for a famous jazz singer and wins the heart of young jazz singer Mae. But when George's secret is uncovered, will Mae still love him? Directed by Joey DiFranco of Chicago.
